ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking an Agritourism Specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in Kyrgyzstan. A local community is requesting volunteer assistance to develop a manual that would consolidate and standardize training and marketing materials in the region.
Due to current travel restrictions, this assignment will take place remotely. The selected volunteer will collaborate with leaders of the community, a local volunteer and ACDI/VOCA field staff to complete this assignment. The assignment will last for approximately 1 week for the selected volunteer, spread over 2 weeks when the local volunteer will be working with the host community.
***As part of the Farmer-to-Consortium, this assignment is made possible through USAID funding. In accordance to USAID guidelines, any candidates submitted for consideration under this project must have a valid US passport or Green Card.***
Volunteer Qualifications
- University degree in Tourism, Ag Marketing or some other related topic.
- At least 5 years of experience working in agritrourism.
- Experience writing training manuals.
- Proficient computer and social media skills such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, etc.
