Bowery Farming is seeking an Office Administrator to join the R&D Operations team. This role
will oversee a series of standardized day-to-day duties and a number of ad hoc tasks involving
office activities at Bowery’s R&D facilities. This individual will work closely with multiple teams
including Agricultural Sciences, R&D Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Supply Chain, and
Human Resources.
What You’ll Do

- Shipping and receiving for packages and mail
- Manage ordering for experimental consumables
- Inventory management for multiple consumables categories (janitorial, PPE, office stationery, experimental supplies)
- Manage experimental seed inventory and prepare daily seeding packages for R&D Farmers
- Receptionist responsibilities for R&D facilities
- Manage documents for record keeping requirements
- Take notes during departmental meetings with emphasis on action items
- Work with the People Team on organizing one-time and recurring events
- Facilitate workspace organization at R&D facilities
- Oversee janitorial, laundry, and pest management vendor compliance
- Other tasks as assigned
Who You Are

- Detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- IT knowledge with basic office software systems experience (Microsoft Office, Google Drive Suite, etc.)
- Ability to learn inventory management software systems
- Works well with a team through clear and effective communication
- Manages time effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Focused on safety as a priority
