Nursery grower / Urban farmer (m/f/d)

With the aim to share the goodness of own-grown produce with everyone, they developed a smart modular farming system, that allows distribution of farms throughout the urban environment, growing fresh produce in any available space and fulfilling any market demand.

Who You Are
As an Urban Farmer you are working either in one of our Plant Hubs or Points of Sale (supermarkets, restaurants). You have an innate passion for plants and top-quality food and are an ambassador for Infarm and our mission. Moreover, having high attention to detail and being well organised are among your strongest skills.

Primary Responsibilities
Seed efficiently and precisely according to individual plant requirements
Follow the germination process and detect deficiencies, diseases and under-performance
Pick the correct and best-performing seedlings for packing and planting
Perform basic maintenance of farms when needed
Follow workflow and schedule
Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following Health and Safety legislation and guidelines
You would join Infarm starting as one of the three specialised classification of the Grower role. They are all the same function but with slightly different responsibilities.

Requirements

Valid working visa and driving license
Fluent in German, English is an advantage
A passion for plants, sustainability or nutrition
Strong attention to detail and a good eye and caring for cleanliness
Both confident and comfortable working alone as well as part of a team
Experience working in a retail environment or in customer service is an asset
Work experience in horticulture is a plus
This positions requires to work on weekends every once in a while, of course it will be compensated during the week, you won’t work more than 40h/week.
