Tilapia or trout? Best fish for a UK aquaponics setup

Planning an aquaponics system in an old barn in Yorkshire. The water temperature will be hard to keep above 20C in winter without spending a fortune on heating. Trout would handle the cold better but tilapia produce more waste which feeds the plants better. Anyone running either species in the UK who can share their experience with the economics?
