Join us for this free virtual event where we will walk participants through best practices for establishing a sustainable foundation for your farm business.
Uniquely adapted to Chicago’s urban agriculture context, AUA’s Good Practices for Growing in Chicago program approaches ‘good practices’ holistically from the standpoint of food safety, grower safety, conservation and the implied social impacts of urban farms, with the goal of harm prevention in mind.
AUA recently launched the Grown in Chicago Online Self-Assessment tool, co-created by farmers, soil scientists, and purchasers as a guide to shift our food system to one that is locally based, economically viable, and mutually supportive of farmers and community.
