Agronomist

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for an established farmer clientele, and to develop his/her one portfolio of new clients. The agronomist will work closely with farmers with the goal to improve their operation by sound infield agronomic advice. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on the local agriculture community.
Responsibilities:
– Scouting farmers crops and providing timely, unbiased recommendations to help him/her be more profitable.
-Timely advice on pesticide applications that are always unbiased and have the farmers best in mind.- Provide high quality GIS soil testing followed by independent recommendations.- Help farmers and livestock owners with their manure and nutrient management.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in agricultural science and technology, and apply this knowledge to improve our client’s operations.
-Develop your area with new clientele in all areas of service: scouting, soil testing and manure management.
Requirements:
– A Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or a related field.- Familiarity with GIS mapping and its applications in agriculture.- Experience working with farmers operators, and a strong understanding of agricultural practices.- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.- A passion for the agriculture industry and a commitment to improving farmer’s operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
