Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Technical Operations Assistant to help keep our maker lab organized, provide support wherever needed, and ensure all systems are operational in our in-house vertical farm. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to break into industrial automation and vertical farming. While a college degree is not required, strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills are essential.
Maintain and organize the maker lab, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
Assist with various tasks around the lab, including assembling and testing prototypes.
Support engineers and technicians with ongoing projects and troubleshooting.
Help manage inventory and ensure supplies are stocked.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the lab area.
Follow safety protocols and ensure the lab is a safe working environment.
Ensure all farm systems are operational and assist with troubleshooting any issues.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on farming equipment and systems.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Practical problem-solving abilities and common sense.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is a plus.
